Design-Aire Engineering, Inc., is a Veteran-owned company formed in January of 1983, has earned its reputation
as a building renovation specialist, having achieved a level of expertise not normally acquired solely from new construction projects.
Our engineering philosophy has been to specialize in projects that require an elevated level of engineering experience to
complete. This level of engineering generally cannot be effectively delegated to an inexperienced designer. We understand
building dynamics and use sound engineering principles to achieve energy efficiency and quality designs. Our designs have
always been on the leading edge of sustainablility and technology. "We were green before it was cool to be green...", while
a new version of an old cliché, Design-Aire has always designed projects with energy and natural
resources in mind.
Combining Engineering and Economics: Because of our training in both engineering and business, we commonly use the tools of finance in our design process. We have a working familiarity with life-cycle analysis based on return-on-investment, net present value, simple payback, and other standard methods of capital investment evaluations. This is commonly used in our feasibility studies, demand-side management studies, and energy audit investigations
